Where Gods and Man Meet
In the course of several decades of ruthlessly travelling the Himalayas, Prof. Jaroslav Poncar has created an enormous number of photographic images. One of his foremost aims has always been to present an authentic image of culture and living in the highest mountain region on earth. To achieve this, he has gone to great length, such as travelling Tibet in the company of nomads for weeks. In respect to size, this photo book is setting a standard: once you open it, it extends to almost one meter, thus exhibiting the breath and variety of these unique landscapes and their inhabitants.
