SUMMER 2010
Womenswear r-t-w shows
A sense of optimism emerged from the women's r-t-w shows whether through colour and fabric or the new softened silhouettes.
Express fashion
This season, our customer's needs are changing in many ways more than just materialistic fashion whims. Our challenge is to understand them and to revel in the excitement of what is to come…'
Designer fabric messages
Sheerness and weightlessness lift us off the ground in a cloudy haze of transparent and effervescent fabrics or dive deep below the surface to an undersea world, which provides inspiration for fantasy prints or fluid rippling sheen. The mood is definitely upbeat, driving creative ideas forward.
Designer details
We now live in a world awash with information and there is a need at times to study the smaller elements to form a glimpse of future directions and interests. Some of these common threads and features point to conceptual curiosity, while others rest in the ordinary and everyday.
WINTER 10/11
New fabric directions
In spite of the recession, there is absolutely no shortage of developments, technical wizardry and above all trends to choose from for the next season. Ideas go from the most kitsch of furs to a new sense of raw luxury and the monastic. Developments on jersey are imperative.
Menswear orientations
Fabrics have learnt to behave: they fold, bend, move, shimmer and shiver on our behalf. They coexist with the wearer on completely remodelled terms of wearability. They are characterised by a lexicon of extremes from being vapour soft and fluid to wholesome and rigid, like straw.
SUMMER 2011
womenswear forecast
Garments will no longer be perceived as single, unique pieces but as elements incorporated into a total silhouette, that has been carefully styled with lots of layering. Colours, fabrics, textures and patterns all play their part and help in building novel combinations.
Menswear forecast
Fabrics weigh nothing, caress the body or dress it with supple structures. And we transfer this lightness of material into a lightness of being and thinking that floats across the season.
Knit colours
Colour flows from ethereal 'barely there' tones through washed and fresh naturals to a powerful intensity of darks and dynamic brights for summer sparkle. All take their cue from the natural world where sky meets the earth and dives to the depth of the deepest oceans.
Knits & yarns
Looking at knits through fresh eyes, the seasonal message is focused on those exceptional developments, which enhance the honest down-to-earth product offer to which we are drawn. Openwork structures are a major message giving a summer opportunity to play with layers and colour contrasts.
Menswear knits
Our trend message for Summer 2011 knits heads into two key directions – 'A Touch of Ethnic' or 'Fresh, Clean and Modern'. Overall the patterns are fine and intricate especially when executed in fine gauge knits.
WINTER 11/12
Knitwear forecast
Breathtaking combinations of techniques, textures and forms signal and define a new kind of confidence in products that stand alone in muscular isolation, but, at the same time, integrate with the more reserved and rational elements of the winter wardrobe.
LIFESTYLE
Lifestyle – 'Happiness'
The American Declaration of Independence says that all men are entitled to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, but not happiness itself. So what exactly is happiness, and what does it mean to us today?
Design & lifestyle
Fashion and design bounce between the urge to get real and stay focused and the need for novelty and excitement. Utility chic was one of the buzzwords at the Summer 2010 catwalk shows and already a hot topic during last Milan's Salone del Mobile.
Lifestyle dressing
We're supposed to be giving a damn again. But, are we really dressing up again? To find out, we used last September's Première Vision as a barometer and it reads in a very interesting way.
